Craving a Big Mac, but don’t want all the calories? This salad recipe tastes just as delicious and you won’t feel as guilty eating it afterwards. I recommend serving the salad in bowls prior to adding the dressing just in case you have leftovers (you don’t want the salad getting soggy!).

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 3 tbsp diced hamburger pickles
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 cups chopped iceberg lettuce (one head of lettuce)
  • ½ medium sliced onion
  • ½ cup diced hamburger pickles
  • ½ cup sliced cherry tomatoes optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional


  • Combine all ingredients for the salad dressing. Mix and then set aside
  • Brown ground beef over medium heat
  • Chop lettuce, onions, pickles, and slice tomatoes (optional)
  • In a large bowl, toss the salad ingredients together and add in the ground beef once cooked
  • Drizzle with dressing (do not add all the dressing at once in case you prefer less)
  • Sprinkle with cheese, if desired
