Lemon Chicken Asparagus

This lemon chicken and asparagus recipe is super quick and easy. Best part is it doesn’t require too many ingredients. We served it with a side of risotto, but it would also pair well with rice!

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 ½ tsp lemon pepper seasoning divided
  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 lemon slices to garnish


  • Butterfly cut two chicken breasts
  • On a cookie sheet, mix together flour, garlic powder, and salt and pepper
  • Coat the chicken breasts in the flour mixture
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat
  • Add chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook each side until golden brown. While cooking chicken, sprinkle each side with the lemon pepper seasoning. Once cooked through, transfer chicken to a plate and set aside
  • In the skillet, heat olive oil and add the washed asparagus. Add lemon juice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Saute until tender
  • Serve chicken over the asparagus and garnish with a slice of lemon
